Use Clinical to record your consultations with a patient and their clinical details.
- Actions
  An Action is a record of something that was done or is to be done for a patient.
- Progress Notes
  Record notes about a patient's visit in Progress Notes.
  - Comments
    A comment is frequently used text that you can insert into Progress tab using a shortcut key combination.
  - Diagrams
    To more accurately display conditions or procedures, draw on preset clinical images .
  - Examinations
    Record the findings of a single consultation.

    Record a patient's clinical history and symptoms that have become evident since the patient's last consultation.

    Similar to comments, use management items to insert frequently used text into a progress note.

Editing Previous Progress Notes

Edit Progress Notes on the day they are recorded.

Before you begin

Progress Notes can be edited on the day they are recorded, until midnight of that day, after which they become permanent records. You can append additional notes to these permanent records.

Procedure

To edit a Progress Note

Select the Progress tab in the patient's clinical record.
Select a previous entry from the list at the upper-right of the window. The notes for that particular visit are then displayed in the lower-right of the window.

Tip:
To find text entered in a previous progress note, click Search, type the text to search for and click Search.

Progress Note entries that contain the search string are highlighted in red.
To add additional notes to the selected record, click Append. A secondary window appears, populated with the practitioner's name and the current date. Add your additional notes in this window.
To view any diagrams that have been drawn during the previous selected visit, click Diagrams. If the button is not available, no diagrams were drawn for the selected Progress Note.
Click Save.

Results

Appended notes are added to the record.
