Leaflet Browser

Displays patient education leaflets.

Before you begin

Patient Education Leaflets are distributed in PDF. To view them, install a PDF compatible reader. For example Acrobat Reader.
Tip:
Acrobat Reader is available from the Adobe web site.

About this task

Use the Leaflet Browser to view the education leaflets.

Procedure

To open a leaflet:
  1. Use one of the following methods to open the Leaflet Browser:
    • On the Toolbar, click the Patient education iconPatient Education icon.
    • From the main menu or Clinical window, press Ctrl+T.
    • In the Clinical window, select Resources > Patient Education.
  2. In the Leaflet Browser window, browse the category or expand the document tree to find the topic you want to view.
  3. Click on the leaflet.

Results

The selected leaflet is displayed in your default PDF reader.

What to do next

In the Leaflet Browser:
  • Add Item iconAdd - Adds a new category branch in the tree or a customised leaflet to the database. A new leaflet is displayed on the All and Custom tab lists. Customised leaflets are in rtf, txt or doc file format.
  • Delete iconDelete - Removes category branches or customised leaflets.
  • Find iconFind - Searches for text in the leaflets, including PDF or non-pdf leaflets.
  • Print iconPrint - Prints the required leaflet.
  • Mark iconMark - Marks a leaflet as printed. A green tick is displayed on the leaflet icon. The printing of the patient education leaflet is also recorded in the patient's Progress Notes.
