Upgrading MedicalDirector Clinical/Pracsoft
Ensure you have performed a backup before begin upgrading Clinical and/or Pracsoft.
Upgrade the Server computer first, after which you can upgrade all workstation computers where you run Clinical and/or Pracsoft.
Remote installation via RDP is not recommended. However, it may be used to install onto a Server Operating System if the installation does not require a restart. Some pre-requisites require a restart, which can make a new remote install fail. To do a remote installation:
- If you are installing from a DVD, it must be in the physical DVD drive of the Server computer.
- You must be logged into the RDP session as the Administrator.
- The installation must be run through the Add / Remove Programs control panel.
If any error messages are displayed during the installation routine, contact MedicalDirector Customer Service immediately for assistance. It is recommended that you do not attempt to resolve any issues without assistance from MedicalDirector Customer Service.
