Email

Send email from within a patient's record.

Clinical interacts with your third-party email software to send and receive emails via your email server. Within Clinical:

You can compose an email using Letter Writer and send it as plain text (which excludes formatting and images) or an attachment (in PDF or RTF format). You might choose use this method if you're creating a new letter for the patient and want to email it immediately.
You can select a document and email it directly from the Correspondence, Documents, Letters, or Results tabs of the patient's record.

Note:

MedicalDirector Customer Support welcomes queries relating to Letter Writer email but cannot assist you regarding any third-party or web-based email applications.

If you have MAPI-compliant (Messaging Application Programming Interface) email software installed on your computer, letters can be sent from the Letter Writer.

Before you can send or receive email using Clinical, ensure that your email client software is installed and functioning correctly.
