MDExchange

Send electronic communications rapidly and securely between medical professionals in MedicalDirector.

MDExchange is a system and subscriber service for the rapid and secure electronic transmission of communications between medical professionals in MedicalDirector. Practitioners create correspondence with Letter Writer, search the MDExchange online directory for the MDExchange users they want to send it to, and send it to them via Secure Message Transport.

When starting MedicalDirector for the first time, you will be prompted to register for the MDExchange service and functionality. After registering, you can send and receive messages via the service, and manage your sent and received items.

To use MDExchange within the practice, the Windows file and printer sharing ports must be open in any firewall.
