National Cancer Screening Register

Use the National Cancer Screening Register widget to interact directly with the NCSR from within Clinical.

The National Cancer Screening Register enables a single electronic record for each person participating in the Australian Government’s National Bowel Cancer Screening Program (NBCSP/bowel program), National Cervical Screening Program (NCSP/cervical program), and National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP/lung program).

It supports the programs by inviting, reminding, and following up participants for screening and enabling healthcare providers to securely access and submit patient screening information directly to the NCSR.

Healthcare providers who have integrated Clinical with the NCSR, are able to interact directly with patient bowel, cervical, and lung cancer screening information from the software you use day-to-day. This enables you to:

  • View the patient's test results, summary of the outcomes, and screening histories within the patient's record.
  • View the patient's screening status, next screening action, and alerts.
  • Submit clinical forms.
  • View and update patient demographic details.
  • Manage the patient's screening participation, including opting out, resuming participation, deferring screening, or enrolling patients in the lung program.
  • Cease patient correspondence for the cervical and lung cancer screening programs.
  • Nominate other people to assist your patient, such as a personal representative (bowel and lung cancer programs only) or another healthcare provider (all programs).
