Notification Alerts

Notification alerts indicate that healthcare provider action is required for a patient.

Where there is healthcare provider action required, your patient may have one of the following notification alerts displayed.

Table 1. Bowel Program Notifications
Notification alert Reason for notification
Overdue for bowel cancer screening The patient’s NCSR record indicates they are overdue for bowel screening.
Positive FOBT – GP Follow up required The patient’s NCSR record indicates they have had a positive iFOBT result and require follow up by a healthcare provider and completion of the GP Assessment Report.
Positive FOBT – Colonoscopy outcome required The patient’s NCSR record indicates they have had a positive iFOBT result, however a Colonoscopy Report has not been received by the NCSR.

Notification alert Reason for notification
Overdue for cervical screening The patient’s NCSR record indicates they are overdue for cervical screening.
Follow up action required The patient’s NCSR record indicates they require follow up by a healthcare provider. Referral to a specialist is recommended.

Due for Lung Cancer Screening The patient’s NCSR record indicates that they are due for lung cancer screening.
Overdue for Lung Cancer Screening The patient’s NCSR record indicates they are overdue for lung cancer screening.
Follow up action required The patient’s NCSR record indicates they require follow up by a healthcare provider and confirmation of diagnosis.
