Dose Conversion Calculator

Before you begin

The Dose Conversion Calculator allows you to calculate the amount of an alternate medication. The Dose Conversion Calculator is accessed via the Pain Assessment module.

Procedure

Within the Pain Assessment module, click

The Dose Conversion window appears.
Select a new and previous Opiod from the drop-down menus provided.
Enter the 'Previous Opiod (mg/24hr)'.
Click Calculate to display the recommended once daily dose (mg).
Click Prescribe to create a new prescription for this medication.
