Update Process Checklist

Use this checklist to help you prepare your system for updating Clinical.

Review the system requirements for Clinical and/or Pracsoft.

If your practice has integrations with third-party systems, such as pathology providers, pharmacy connections, Medicare/DVA claiming services, or specialist referral platforms, confirm with those providers that their services are compatible with the Clinical and/or Pracsoft update you intend to install.

Scanners used with Clinical must be TWAIN-compliant. If your practice uses scanning, confirm that the scanner meets this requirement and the drivers are current.

If you are adding users, ensure you have the registration key. If not, contact your Customer Success manager for a new registration key.

If you use MedicalDirector Mobility, upload all patient data.

`
Perform a full MedicalDirector Backup with the Backup Utilities.

Allow enough time to complete the update while users are not using Clinical and/or Pracsoft.
Tip:
Do the update outside of business hours or on a weekend.

Ensure that all MedicalDirector software is closed on all computers.

Disable the antivirus, firewall, and opportunistic locking software. Enable them again when the update is complete.
