Superseding Documents

Before you begin

A Shared Health Summary cannot be superseded.

You can only supersede a given document with the same type of document. For example, an e-Referral can only be superseded by another e-Referral.

Procedure

  1. Access My Health Record.
  2. Within the My Health Record window, locate and right-click the document you wish to supersede, and select Supersede from the menu that appears.

  3. The Select a Document window appears.

  4. Browse through the list of available documents from your patient's record, and select the document you wish to use to replace that within My Health Record.
  5. Click

    The document will be uploaded to My Health Record, to replace the existing document.
