Activate SDI

Activate SDI so results files can be imported automatically into the Holding file.

Procedure

  1. Either:
    • Click Tools > Manage Communications.
    • Click Tools > Options > Investigations > Setup Advanced Pathology > General.
  2. On the General tab, in the Import Database list, select the database that you want to import the results files into.
  3. In the Automatic Import Interval list, select the time interval at which SDI checks for new results files.
    Tip:
There is no limit to the size of files that SDI can import. If your practice regularly receives large files, we recommend increasing the import interval to ensure large files are fully imported before the import is automatically reinitiated. The default import interval is 10 minutes.
  4. Click Close > Yes > OK.
  5. Clinical tests the new SDI import service and displays a message when the test is completed. Click OK.

Results

SDI checks for results files at the specified time interval and automatically imports them into the Holding file.
