Set up non-standard folders so SDI can automatically import results files into them
instead of the Holding file.
Procedure
To set up non-standard folders so SDI can automatically import results
files into them:

Either:

Click Add.

In the Description field, enter a description of the
data transfer service, for example, HealthLink.

In the Category field, enter the category of the data
transfer service, for example, Investigations.

In the Import Folder field, click Ellipsis
. Browse to and select the location where new
imported results files will be saved.

In the Export Folder field, click Ellipsis
. Browse to and select the location where
acknowledgement (ACK) files generated for results files will be saved.

Set Automatic Import Enabled (SDI) to enable SDI to
import files from this folder automatically at the specified time
interval.

Set Manual Import Enabled (Manual).
Note: The manual option enables you to press
F5 to import results files manually when
required without waiting for the next automatic import.

Optionally, if the pathology lab wants to receive acknowledgements for results
files, set Generate Acknowledgement (ACK).

To allow the data transfer service to be used from workstations, set
Available Network Wide (Global).
Note: If this option is not set, the data transfer service
is available only on the computer on which it was set up.

Results
SDI checks for results files at the specified time interval
and automatically imports the results into the folder you specified.
