CV Risk

Helps you to calculate your patient's risk of cardiovascular disease by analysing multiple factors.

This calculator is based on the long term Frammingham Study data, and presents the percentile risk of cardiac death from coronary artery disease over the next six years. The values are normalised against country-specific actuarial data, and the results are displayed graphically. Clinical provides two CV Risk calculators:
To access CV Risk calculator, either:
  • Press Ctrl+Alt+C.
  • Select Tools > Tool Box > CV Risk (via the Clinical Window).
Clinicians can vary any of the input data to highlight to the patient the effect of ceasing smoking (example).
